This Privacy Policy explains how Node Minecraft Hosting (“Node,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information when you use our website at https://nodedistrominecrafthosting.com, customer dashboard, APIs, game-server hosting, billing, and support (the “Services”). It applies to the service we operate for customers. If you run a self-hosted copy of the panel, your operator may follow different practices.
By using the Services, you acknowledge this policy. Where we need consent for a specific use, we will ask separately. Our Terms of service govern your use of the platform.
1. Scope
This policy covers account holders, visitors to our site, players who connect to servers we host (limited technical data only—we do not receive Mojang account passwords), and people who contact support or submit refund requests.
Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios. We are an independent hosting provider.
2. Information we collect
- Account data. Email, username, password hash (we do not store plain-text passwords), role, account status, referral relationships if you use refer-a-friend, and preferences needed to authenticate you.
- Billing. Credit balance, transaction history, gift-card or coupon redemptions, and payment customer identifiers. Payment card numbers are entered on our payment provider’s pages; we receive limited metadata (e.g. last four digits, brand, payment status), not full card data.
- Hosting & panel data. Server names, RAM and plan settings, worlds and files you upload or import, panel backups you create, console logs, DNS and custom-connect settings, plugin/mod metadata, usage for credit billing (e.g. uptime, backup jobs), and communications you send through support tickets.
- Shared access. If an account owner invites members, we store member email, role, and which servers they may view or manage.
- Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, request logs, cookies or local storage for session tokens, approximate region from IP, and security signals used to prevent abuse.
- Communications. Support messages, refund form submissions, and emails we send (e.g. password reset, backup download links after admin actions, billing notices) via our email provider.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve hosting, the panel, imports/exports, and integrations you enable;
- Bill credits, process payments, detect fraud, and enforce plan limits (including free-tier caps);
- Authenticate users, protect accounts, and investigate security incidents;
- Operate status pages, uptime monitoring, and service communications;
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use your worlds or chat for advertising profiling.
4. Sharing and service providers
We share information only as needed to run the Services:
- Infrastructure & DNS. Hosting providers and, when you use default hostnames, DNS services to point play addresses to your server.
- Payments. Our payment processor for checkout and subscriptions.
- Email. Transactional email delivery (e.g. Brevo) for resets, support, and notices you opt into or that are required for the Services.
- Integrations you configure. Webhooks, Discord, Nodedistro SSO, Modrinth installs, or other third parties you connect receive data you send to them under their policies.
- Legal & safety. When required by law, court order, or to protect users, Node, or the public from fraud, abuse, or harm.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as “sale” or “sharing” under California privacy law.
6. Security
We apply measures appropriate to the data we hold: HTTPS in transit, hashed passwords, access controls on production systems, least-privilege staff access, logging, and vendor review. Backup download links use unguessable tokens and expire. No system is perfectly secure—use a strong unique password and keep panel access private.
7. Retention
We keep account and billing records while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure for disputes, tax, and legal compliance. Server files and panel backups are deleted when you remove them, when servers are deleted (subject to export windows described in product notices), or per lifecycle rules in our Terms. Support tickets may be retained for quality and legal purposes.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, restrict processing, or object to certain uses. You can update some data in the dashboard; for other requests contact us below. We may verify your identity. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.
Marketing emails, if we send them, will include an unsubscribe option. Transactional messages (security, billing, service) may still be sent when necessary.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe we have done so.
10. International users
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and material changes will be announced as appropriate (e.g. email or dashboard notice). The version at https://nodedistrominecrafthosting.com/privacy-policy is current as of May 31, 2026.
12. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: email support@nodedistrominecrafthosting.com, use Contact, or open a ticket via Support.
